Chuck Pyle Returns to Greyhaven

An Evening at Greyhaven

Singer/songwriter Chuck Pyle has won the unqualified respect & praise of peers and fans for 30 years. Referred to affectionately as the Zen Cowboy, Pyle wraps his infectiously hummable melodies with straight-from-the-saddle poetry, quoting bumper stickers, proverbs, world leaders and old cowboys at his shows. An accomplished songwriter, Pyle's songs have been recorded by John Denver, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Suzy Bogguss, Chris LeDoux and Jerry Jeff Walker. But there’s nothing like hearing the guy who wrote them sing them. His flair for words and melody has made him a favorite of Bill & Melinda Gates, who've had him play at their house.

As always, it was a wonderful evening of music, poetry and humor, as Chuck performed many old favorites and some new ones, including Sedona Ramona, A Time To Decide/Endless Days, Cheap Little Ring ("I cried all the way to Utah..."), Keep It Simple, Step By Step, Other Side Of The Hill. After a standing ovation, Chuck concluded with Lay This Old Guitar Down (by request).

Thanks to all who came, and especially to Chuck who made this a wonderful and memorable evening!
